Tim Brayton Antagony & Ecstasy [Its] rare and totally essential and beautiful vastly outweigh the sometimes baffling missteps it makes a work of narrative entertainment. Rated: 7/10 Apr 7, 2015 Full Review TV Guide A nice effort, but the film suffers from tedious musical numbers by Joe Raposo that seem to last forever. Audience Member The characters are adorable and incredibly well animated and voiced! My eyes were glued to the screen for the majority of the movie just to admire the execution! Ann and Andy are simply adorable, and all the antagonists have major charm to them. I love the animation style and how cute the film is! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Doge G Es una película que tiene una animación sublime y una trama decente, es de lo mejor en la animación de los años 70. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 08/26/23 Full Review Nerco It's honesty an amazing story, with lovely songs (especially "No Girls Toy"), and a stunning brother and sister relationship If you like cartoons, musicals and older animation, give these sweet siblings a chance, it's a must watch! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Nobody's watching Raggedy Ann and Andy: A Musical Adventure for its nuanced characters, brilliant narrative or intricate knowledge of how to pace its scenes but instead for some absolutely bizarre visuals, surreal musical numbers and animation that, while not always consistent, has its impressive moments to the point that you have to remind yourself this was all drawn on paper. Perhaps not a true animation "classic" but it is certainly an experience from a visual standpoint. An animators' film indeed...though seriously, Richard Williams, did you have to pad out the scenes? Yes, all your hard work is appreciated but sometimes sacrifices have to be made. You could always have released a special edition VHS with a few extra minutes of completed animation...just a thought.
