Henry M There are things I like about Raggedy Rawney. The actors are charming and all seem like real people. It deals with intense issues that people are often afraid to talk about. Bob Hoskins and Zoe Wanamaker are charismatic. However, there is something a little uncanny and unnerving about the film, and I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to a friend. Definitely a weird and interesting journey, and not boring, but also not that impactful morally or emotionally. Cinematography was lackluster, though the environment was pretty and there was a beautiful sunset shot with horses. I would be interested to read about the production of this film, because it strikes me as one that would not have been financed unless George Harrison and Handmade Films stepped in.
