Audience Member A much inferior and somewhat nonsensical re-telling of the TV series. The original TV series comes highly recommended, while this movie does not. The animation, acting and music is high quality - but the rewrite into movie form both reveals the central mystery and makes the romance part completely uninteresting - and pretty #meetoo territory as well. Just watch the TV show. Don't let people convince you that it's derivative of other robot shows - it's not. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member There are a few minutes of decent sci-fi, but this is just a romance that happens to happen in the future. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome is all I have to say. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member The series was great. This was not quite as good. It is a NGE clone, but NGE is great, so what's wrong with cloning it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Audience Member While it doesn't carry the weight of the 10 hour series, the movie is still a good piece of work, though I would recommend watching it after having seen the series. The added scenes with young Ayato and Haruka were especially touching and enjoyable for me. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member i saw this while watching the series. little did i know that this WAS the entire series condensed to 2 hours with minor changes to the plot and some of the characters have changed rolls and some are just cut completely. It basically did what Armitage III did, except without the theatrical release, and just like Armitage, i enjoyed this movie. sure some parts can leave you confused, but just watch the series and youll be fine. I recommend it to anyone who liked the series or those who want to get into Rahxephon, but rent it first Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews
