The Chinese people suffered greatly in a war and occupation initiated by Japan, but the Japanese soldiers are so unrelentingly evil and the Chinese fighters so overwhelmingly noble that they're just caricatures. This is the kind of war story you would find in a comic book. See more john m 11/26/2021 Really enjoyed this movie. Great acting, film sets a great mood with costumes, setting, and cinematography. Not a ton of dialog, so subtitles weren't an issue and didn't take away from the movie. Only downside is it's a dark movie, so in some scenes it's tough to tell who is who with low lighting, hats, and collars pulled up for the winter weather. See more Read all reviews
