If Tomita Ramen is Mount Olympus, then the structurally scattershot and aesthetically clunky Ramen Heads is rooted more in the weeds.

"Ramen: Whispered in anticipation or delight, it's enough to stir the emotions" is how the film's voice-over narration begins. It gets more effusive from there.

This made me want to make ramen. Which i learned and now love. I understand this movie even more now. A must see to all foodies!

This movie was surprisingly good! Not only did I learn alot about how ramen is made, it also gave me great insight into ramen culture and Japanese culture. I also loved that they honored the chef's one request for privacy.
