This film is something else. If there's bharadwaj sir there will be definitely something extraordinary. This film is a combination of everything romance, action, drama, awareness, comedy etc.

A well made period romance that is gritty and haunting. The soundtrack alone makes it worth watching more than once. The story offers a unique view of India during WW2 and a heart wrenching romance that was never meant to succeed. A good first Bollywood film to sample the genre

I don't give out 5 stars easily and I wish I saw this movie on the big screen. I was skeptical about watching this movie. I was not sold out by the promos. And then it sat on my Netflix bookmark videos. This movie took me by surprise. Excellent story and direction and strong performances by pretty much everyone. David character was my favorite.

Overall I wound up liking this movie. I think that Kangana Ranaut, Shahid Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan all gave strong performances that carried the movie about a love triangle that takes place during WW2 and India's fight for independence. The movie could have been a little shorter, it got slightly long and redundant in a few spots, but overall a good movie
