Audience Member The title is certainly an understatement. This ambitious scoundrel sets fire to a teen idol, rapes his manager's wife--both fully clothed and in extreme close-up--and drowns a pregnant fan. The no-other-filmography lead actor Schulyer Hayden is good-looking, to be sure (yet with unsightly chest hair), and the wife, Warrene Ott, is gorgeous. The editing is clunky as is the often obvious and/or poorly delivered dialogue. The cinematography, by William (Vilmos) Zsigmond--who went on to much better projects, is crisp and interesting (probably the only worthwhile element in this deservedly forgotten B movie). As a time-capsule, the film may be worth your time since it captures some of the styles of the early '60s: beatniks, tab collars, bouffant hair, and a 1965 Thunderbird.
