      Sitaram R It is a time pass movie for a movie buff like me. However, my wife did not enjoy the movie at all. Hence, the 2.5 star rating. Ravanasura is yet another venture where a director had to compromise to the star power of an actor, Ravi Teja is a capable performer who got typecasted in this industry which is really unfortunate. Sudheer Varma in my opinion never really made a bad film and to see him make a disgusting venture like this just breaks my heart. Normally I put in some positives for any film review but my god this film was just disgusting and I don't think there are any positives. The core problem can be found in the initial stage of making this film which is the screenplay. The director was trying to replicate Breaking Bad and the character of Saul Goodman from the same universe, well that isn't bad in any sort of way but the way they executed is just horrible. The reason breaking bad worked was because it was an underdog story and it had an emotional connect, while the first one might not be necessary all the time the latter has to be present in order to make a good anti-hero like Joel from Last of us or even Mukundan Unni from Mukundan Unni associates. The fact that they made a rape scene heroic made me extremely uncomfortable and found it difficult to sit through. The why dunit just made the film even more horrible. It would have been nice if the filmmaker's invested more time to write the screenplay better because it is difficult to write grey characters. In my opinion if they had made Ravi's character the antagonist through gradual character arc it would've been great. The rape scene should've been eliminated completely because it made it difficult to follow through the protagonist's journey. They didn't make him likeable in the beginning and just made him extremely irritating version of Ravi Teja which was another blunder.They could've made him into a proper anti hero through a proper arc by giving him a proper justification instead of making him into a rapist hero. This film doesn't deserve a rating so hence the blank rating. An alternate title for this film could've been Kick 3 : Minus the good stuff plus I want to be breaking bad because that show was great. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/01/23 Full Review Vijay Sai V Overall impression: The movie is a decent watch, but it is not without its flaws. Positives: Raviteja gives a strong performance. The screenplay and narration are different from the usual Telugu movie. The cast is good. Negatives: The songs are not catchy. Rao Ramesh's acting prowess is not fully utilized. The use of medical terminology is loose. Hyper Aadi could have had more screen presence. Recommendation: If you are a fan of Raviteja, you may enjoy this movie.
