Scott Tobias Variety "Razzia" is fatally crippled by a conceit that flattens the characters to serve an argument, like bullet points in a sweeping editorial about the current state of Morocco. Sep 19, 2017 Full Review A.A. Dowd AV Club Ayouch pointlessly, gracelessly entwines the fates of five thinly sketched types ... whose aimless arcs don't so much climatically intersect as reach the same Hail Mary non-ending simultaneously. Rated: D Sep 14, 2017 Full Review Jordan Mintzer Hollywood Reporter A sprawling cri de coeur set in the heart of modern-day Casablanca, Nabil Ayouch's Razzia is an intense network narrative that nearly collapses under the weight of its own ambitions. Sep 12, 2017 Full Review Tori Brazier One Room With A View It is eye-opening in its rawness and introduces interesting questions. It leaves many of them unresolved, however, consequently feeling unsure of its message. Rated: 2/5 Feb 22, 2019 Full Review Antonio Trashorras Fotogramas Direct, forceful, and devoid of subtleties. [Full Review in Spanish] Rated: 3/5 Feb 4, 2019 Full Review Paula Arantzazu Ruiz Cinemanía (Spain) Obviously, [Director Nabil Ayouch's] criticism of retreating values speaks as much to the countries of the Maghreb as it does to Europe today, but his cry against injustice is far less complex. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member To me Nabil, tried unsuccefully to copy past Babel movie in every aspect. I think he missed an opportunity to tackle serious issues such as Rif and all Morocan claims to democracy, education, health infrastructure...
