High school haunts everyone, in one way or another. For Jimmy Bauer (ADAM SAUNDERS), it was losing the race for class president during his senior year back in 1995, which caused him to drop out. Now a 40-something underdog stuck working in a memorabilia store owned by his dad (TV comedy icon TONY DANZA), Jimmy decides to go back to school for his missing class credits -- and win the election he's sure will make his life right. But after 30 years, things have changed a bit, and with the help of his new Gen-Alpha friend Noa (BEX TAYLOR-KLAUS) and former classmate-turned-girlfriend Ama (NATHALIE KELLEY), Jimmy learns that it's not how we start a journey that matters -- it's how we finish it.

It shows how courage can inject much-needed morality into politics, allowing candidates to stand up for others and—maybe—actually make society better. Go to Full Review

A largely ensemble piece that takes an extreme premise and manages to tell a grounded story that both entertains and inspires. Re-Election earns my vote as one of the year's genuine crowd-pleasers, brimming with optimism and earnest hope.  Go to Full Review

BT H Oct 29 I walked into this movie not knowing what to expect. I'm not generally the type that goes to these independent films. I was blown away by how good it was. The premise is great, message is great and the fun never stops. I really felt connected to the characters as a millennial. See more Cappi A Oct 29 Re-Election has heart and empathy. We saw the independent film in Atlanta. It was so good, we went back the next night and took our kid for them to experience it. You leave with such a warm feeling. My husband found it educational as well in regard to the non-binary character and what Noah experiences. I am grateful for the education this film brings to our life. Job well done, Adam, Bex and Rizwan. Do yourself a favor and see this wonderful film! See more Faye G Oct 26 I loved this!! Why don't they make these any more? I remember when they did. It was so nice to see this in in a movie theater. All of the actors were splendid. I really liked each one. And it was so beautiful the message. Such a heartwarming story and the ending was perfect! didnt see it coming. Bravo to everyone involved. I hope it does really well. See more Brent H Oct 25 I really enjoyed this movie. I thought Adam Saunders (looks like a cross between Josh Peck or Aaron Rodgers) was a really good actor! So believable and his expressions in the close ups were so heartbreaking. I loved him. Bex Taylor-Klaus was wonderful too! I didn't know them before this but I will watch them know. Rizwan Manji was so funny I've known him from other Tv shows but he was great. And Tony Danza! he was only in a few scenes but one of them was my favorite scene in the movie. I thought the writing was really smart too, it was talking about a lot of things! And overall it just felt like a fun movie and I had a great time. I brrought my 13 year old and he said he loved it too which basically never happens. It really deserves that. It is so uplifting, so heartfelt. It is just what we AS A COUNTRY need right now to heal. I don't mean to overstate its importance but this film is so smartly written, it really does have healing power for our divided country. When was the last time we had a message that was for EVERYONE? That's what this movie is. The performances are amazing, starting with the lead guy who is really wonderful and charming. And then the kid who helps him is so great. And the Governor. And Tony Danza! I just can't recommend this movie. Go see it. Bring your parents. Bring your kids. We need this movie. See more Liliya C Oct 19 Great film!
