William Bibbiani TheWrap Those who were underwhelmed the first time around are likely to remain unimpressed. Aug 2, 2024 Full Review Joshua Polanski There Were No Gods Left One of the most quintessentially anthropocentric space fantasies on screen. Sep 8, 2024 Full Review David Chen Decoding Everything (Substack) "The movie has just begun but it’s already clear what these new director’s cuts represent: They are bloodier, meaner, nastier, longer, and deeper versions of the Rebel Moon films that have already been released." Sep 1, 2024 Full Review Cris Kennedy Inner East Review What I like about these two films were the things I liked about the original versions, a certain homage to those fantastical Frazetta illustrations... They're still long and self-indulgent, only now two hours more so. Rated: 3/5 Aug 14, 2024 Full Review Armond White National Review Instead of grasping the seriousness of conquest and resistance as experienced in human history, Snyder makes everything into a humorless Heavy Metal cartoon. Aug 9, 2024 Full Review John Serba Decider Inside the aimlessness of Zack Snyder’s extended take on his already lengthy original film are scenes and moments of really satisfying science fiction. You just gotta get past all the space junk that surrounds them. Aug 9, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

Abul S As a creative, I love being immersed into someone else’s vision, away from the constraints of the film studios, budgets, and time limits designed for the audience’s attention. But sometimes, we get a directors cut that allows the story to breathe, a visionary director to deliver his vision, and smaller details that are more than just I intricacies to a story, but rather a fruitful addition that merits value and benefits a story. This directors cut, is exactly that. After the first 10 minutes, I felt guided into the story (all previously unseen footage), and was so much more drawn in than I was the previous version. In fact, I was left drawn to emotion to a level deeper than the original cinema release. For those drawn into the beautiful art of cinematography, open to be moved into an emotional story, and especially those who are a fan of a visionary such as Zack Snyders vision. If you only watch one version of this story, let it be this. This is a triumph. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Moturiki F Other than the features watchers find negative like the slow-mos, nudity and "overall not so good new ip" (which is subjective in my opinion). This version shouldn't have been the "Directors Cut" but the only "cut". The pacing was much better, the altered scenes and added scenes added depth in my opinion. I do think the nudity feels more like maybe it should have been streamed on another platform (like Max? but yes I know it doesn't work like that). It is unfortunate that general audiences may have lost their appetite for new IPs, in light of the releases of movies and shows that may or may not have ulterior motives in recent years. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Michael P I mean, never watched the original but the story was pretty good but a lot surrounding it was painful. The amount of slow-mo probably added an extra 15 minutes, the blood and gore seemed like an after thought and man, I never thought some action could be boring. It's pretty forgettable which isn't great Rated 2 out of 5 stars 09/08/24 Full Review M H Just as disjointed as the non-Directors cut. How can a village of farmers beat professional soldiers with heavy weaponry and air superiority? No just no. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/24 Full Review Audience Member This movie ws way better than the cut that was released in November. What was Netflix thinking for release those pg-13 cuts Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Patrick R So watched the first chapter chalice of blood And yes it is way better... Don't believe people who rated 1 star they are clearly just hater... Some of them eaven will have watched it day before it comes out 😅 Only point I realy understand is the over use of some blurryness But story wise way more backstory to get in love with the characters or why they act this way so.. Give it a try it will clear things up you missed in the first movies Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/06/24 Full Review Read all reviews
