Violeta (Manuela de Freitas) runs a crumbling boarding house that is home to a motley crew of residents. Among the boarders is João de Deus (João César Monteiro), a 50-something bachelor with no job and no discernible income. João, who often hits up his septuagenarian mother for cash, focuses most of his time and efforts on trying to pick up his young female neighbors. Through his efforts, João makes some unexpected, if often fleeting, connections.

Audience Member Joao C. Monteiro's "Recordações da Casa Amarela" is a quirky, but relaxing(if a tad uneven) and authentic little number. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member O bom: principalmente a irreverencia de alguns momentos, as imagens de Lisboa. O mau: "narrativa" perra e arrastada, som defeituoso (activei as legendas!). A conclusao: maior a fama (do filme) que o proveito (para mim).
