Ex-FBI agent Will Graham (Edward Norton) is an expert investigator who quit the Bureau after almost losing his life in the process of capturing the elusive Dr. Lecter (Anthony Hopkins). After a series of particularly grisly murders, Graham soon realizes that the best way to catch this killer, known as the Tooth Fairy, is to find a way to get inside the killer's mind. For Graham, that means confronting his past and facing his former nemesis, the now-incarcerated Lecter.

Right from the opening scene it becomes sevident that Brett Ratner is no Michael Mann and has some serious problems in building tension... The leads are good but the pace of the film is dull. Director of photgraphy Dante Spinotti, who shot "Manhunter" with Michael Mann, is a welcome return...but this is not enough to turn this into a good picture.

It's not a bad movie; I just think there are so many movies based on this story. I will always love Silence of the Lambs. Will is so freaking smart I love how strong he was and that ending sighting quote towards Mr. D was very good and very smart something that will trigger in
