Mike McCahill Guardian This movie thinly scatters a parable’s worth of plot across 134 minutes and resembles HBO’s Deadwood recut for Sunday-school purposes: pious, puzzling and punitive, with a sternly wagging finger never far from entering the frame. Rated: 2/5 Sep 12, 2022 Full Review Nell Minow RogerEbert.com Redeeming Love could have tried to reach a broader audience but settles for preaching to the choir. Rated: 2/4 Jan 21, 2022 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News "Love" might be best embraced by the faithful, but it is well made and has much to say about the healing power of love and how we all deserve second chances. Rated: 2.5/4 Jan 20, 2022 Full Review David Parkinson Radio Times The leads are earnest, but lack chemistry, while the script rams its points home like a piledriver. Rated: 2/5 Sep 29, 2022 Full Review Jade Budowski Decider Redeeming Love fails as both a compelling romance and an effective drama, failing to do its dazzling leading lady -- or anyone else -- justice whatsoever. Mar 11, 2022 Full Review Collin Garbarino WORLD Redeeming Love left me conflicted. On the one hand, the film feels like a step forward for faith-based entertainment reaching a mainstream audience. On the other hand, Redeeming Love still has some problems. Rated: 2/4 Feb 15, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

L. CURTIS M Wonderful. Beautiful display of faith, love, and redemption. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/15/22 Full Review Ann M Loved the storyline, but some of the scenes were more suggestive than I expected for this movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/01/22 Full Review Margaret It was distressing from the beginning. It only got worse. I love Francine Rivers' writing and have read the book Redeeming Love. On screen its way to disturbing to sit through. Too much flesh and sexual explicitness for a PG-13 rating. We left after less than 30 minutes. We will not recommend this movie to our friends but will give them this less than "unacceptable" film. We did not get what we expected from prescreen rhetoric. The only thing "godly" about it is the prayer of the main character in the beginning of the show. I found no redemption in what we watched of the movie Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/01/22 Full Review KD Amazing Story and just wish you had more opportunities to see this. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/28/22 Full Review Andrew Loved the movie would watch agin Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/22 Full Review humbleopine Fantastic romance movie based on the book of Hosea. Love and grace are paramount as the kind and gentle young farmer pursues the abused prostitute. As in Hosea, the prostitute leaves her new husband multiple times and returns to the hellish environment from which she was rescued. But as grace abounds in his heart, the husband again and again pursues and rescues his beloved. I am 78 years old and this is the first movie in which I cried at the end.
