Victor O I am a casual fan of the great performer Danny Trejo. That guy works his butt off making movies like so many modest guys that appear in a few A-list films and then pop back down to B-movies to make a living. I also noticed some cool names here and there and decided to give this a look. A low-rent reporter is doing a story on vagrants living in New York City's subway tunnels. There she meets a plethora of people from all walks of life. But none more dangerous than a twisted gang lord called Angel. Angel is a twisted and dangerous man but is petty as the day is long, a pitiful punk with a few words of wisdom. All this as Jake, a former cop who lost his wife to gang violence wallows in grief but still helps out the occasional lost soul in the tunnels. This was an odd movie. It tries to combine street-savvy gangbusting action with a reality show-style element. Danny Trejo was decent, but the story was not fun. I liked seeing WWE wrestler John Hennigan and his girlfriend Melina Perez cameo in this movie. But I got nothing else good to say about this. I can just imagine how this movie was sold to investors as a statement amount homelessness. Yet, all that was accomplished was a bad movie to fill the 2:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. slot.
