Audience Member A well done effort depicting aimless teen life in a depressed and depressing mid-west industrial area. Even though I am not familiar with this kind of town and upbringing, I felt it accurately depicted the life of modern teenagers and the resignation to a life of meaningless drama and gossip and the reality that you have to live and survive in this world, even if you realize its futility and ridiculousness. The bleak environment in which they live creates an atmosphere of stultifying heaviness such that it is hard to imagine that anyone has any hope of escaping. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Really enjoyed this movie. The writing is excellent and the story is one many of us can relate to the struggle for clarity for acceptance and for forgiveness. Funny too. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member In life, we are not promised to have that Happily Ever After ending, rather, one which is tolerable at best. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Great movie not only about growing up in the region. What a great representation of the ignorance of youth- those moments most of us want to forget - but it was also so much fun... or not. You have to see it!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw this independent film last night. Well done film with a pretty good cast. Dominated by the lead, Played by Connor Williams. Here is a young man who has a bright future ahead of him. This movie is a dark story the keeps you watching because you just don't know where it is going to end up. If you like independent films with promising directors, great Cinema and a great leading actor try and catch a screening of this. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed the storyline and authentic setting of The Region. Although all the teens in NWI arenâ(TM)t just a bunch of stoners, I can attest that what was being portrayed in the film was a real. I enjoyed the photography, colloquialisms used and the camera work. I was engaged throughout the entire film. I enjoyed the shout out to EC, Ridge Road and the Skyway. Wondering if St Mary was Andrean...and if the Shorewood Clubhouse was Wicker Park or actually the Shorewood Community of Valpo. This film is an enjoyable watch for anyone...not just us Region Rats.
