I actually was just lucky enough to have this group come through my town, these people are just as nice and helpful in person as they appear on this documentary. Amazing people. I actually watched the doc before I went down to seek help from them to see what they were about.

While, it was cool that I was able to meet the director of the film and the message that it got across was crucial for American's to see, Remote Area Medical is lacking. It's poorly shot and aesthetically a nightmare. There's not quite enough movement in the plot to make it worth watching again. Just a mediocre documentary.

A really depressing look at a weekend of work for the people who organize Remote Area Medical as they spend the weekend treating thousands of individuals in Bristol, Tennessee's from the city's NASCAR speedway. Shines a light on the state of the medical system in the US.
