maureen c I wish I could have seen this original Broadway show during its opening night. Rent is a masterpiece, and this is a pitch-perfect production. The performance in this Broadway show is top notch; the acting, the production, the lighting, the costume design, and all of it. I'm thankful to Jonathan Larson for doing everything he could to put this show on Broadway, despite all the criticism and the controversies about AIDS and queer people. It will be timeless and be forever considered as one of the masterpieces of film and art. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member I have no issue with the overall plot and performance of the actors. My only concern is the cinematography. This is filmed live on stage, why is the camera so shaky in some scenes. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Awesome! So much better than the film was. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Those of us who love it always will. Those who don’t “get it” never will. Rent is a masterpiece, and this is a pitch-perfect production. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/14/19 Full Review Audience Member The cheese factor is thick in here. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member Makes the Chris Columbus film seem like a high school gender studies project.
