Lorry S There is a twist of supernatural. Worth watching. If you like movies like 'It Lies Beneath'. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Mrs. J The movie had no conclusion. It just stopped and credits rolled. I felt like i wasted 2 hours of my time Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Audience Member This Psychological Thriller that stars: Anthony Mackie, Forrest Whitaker, Mike Epps and Nicole Ari Parker are incredible, good acting, writing and very driven plot right when it starts with good direction but the acting can be to much over the top and the little girl is can be annoying at times and she doesn't really serve a purpose and only being there to be starting point and related with one the characters. Do like they show some of New Orleans and they put some of the culture and references that the city is know for. This movie does have a interesting twisted ending, that again could be up to interpretation depends how you look at the film and if you were pay attention. All in all not a bad movie but definitely recommend and one time watch and give a A-👍👍 Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/24 Full Review Trina H I particularly did not care for this movie; exspecailly the ending. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/27/24 Full Review Audience Member I’ll give it one star because Mike Epps performance is really good. But give rest of this ass movie is dumb. Dude gets out twice and doesn’t even try to go out the front door or hide until he comes through the basement door and kill him. It’s so dumb Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/16/22 Full Review Audience Member Can't stand to see Bella Thornes face or any part of her for that matter. Andy Webster New York Times A movie of modest means that nevertheless offers a fairly cohesive story and at least one standout performance. Mar 2, 2014 Full Review Dennis Harvey 48 Hills Repentance is an acid sendup of Stalinism’s cruel absurdities, which was itself banned for a pre-years. Nov 8, 2022 Full Review John Fink The Film Stage Despite convincing performances, the fatal flaw is the attempt to meld two genres together that don't quite work. Rated: C- Jun 21, 2016 Full Review Brent Simon Paste Magazine A mopey thriller that unsuccessfully tries to blend psychological portraiture with pointless tension derived from torture, Caland's film wastes two performances that outstrip the material's intelligence deficit. Rated: 3.8/10 Mar 4, 2014 Full Review Nathan Rabin The Dissolve Repentance likes to imagine it traffics in shock, but it's the kind of movie where everyone and everything is exactly as they appear.
