Kyle J They lost me when five-plus police cruisers couldn't catch one bad guy on a motorcycle. The cops can't hit the broadside of a barn with their handguns, but everyone has endless rounds. It takes Bruce Willis (thrown into the show) to finally shoot the bad guy with a shotgun at close range. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/06/24 Full Review Steve D All it has is a uninterested Bruce. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/05/23 Full Review Vera A This actually wasn't a bad movie at all, had a lot of suspense throughout. Why he knew so much about tactics know-how is his past job he had been in security before he was in banking. I really didn't miss Bruce being a big part of the movie it was good, and I strongly recommend watching it's a lot of fun! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review martin e Not nearly as bad as the reviews here would suggest. I've lost count of how many films I've given up on half way through. Reprisal kept my attention to the end. Other reviews talk of clichés but several are avoided here - for example the inevitable snapped twig, ringing phone or similar that gives away the hero watching the villain is avoided nicely here - the fact that it's avoided adding to the tension because you're convinced it's going to happen. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review corkball Bank heist gone wrong. Bank manager wants revenge, but then the robber gets revenge on the revenger. Look, the cast and acting is pretty good. But the story makes ZERO sense. Why does the bank manager go after the robber? Because he can't sleep? And then he assaults the guy and takes the loot? What? Then there is a bunch of extraneous stuff I cannot explain. Why is Bruce Willis even in this? His character was completely superfluous. Ditto the girl with diabetes. Willis has done a string of these bad action cameos. He must need money. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member The least believable thing about this movie is Frank Grillo as a bank manager. It was exactly what I expected. Light. Action. Nothing too cerebral. Frank Grillo and Bruce Willis in a straight to streaming, low budget action flick. Manage your expectations and your won't be disappointed. Olivia Culpa is watchable as the wife. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Christy Lemire RogerEbert.com A blandly gritty piece of late-August mayhem that's as forgettable as its generic title. Rated: .5/4 Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Joe Leydon Variety "Reprisal" is not a very good movie, but it leaves you with tantalizing hints that some people involved with it are capable of doing something much better. Aug 31, 2018 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg New York Times "Reprisal" would have once filled out a lonely shelf at a Blockbuster, the ideal home for its sedate performances and visually hectic action. Aug 30, 2018 Full Review Sean Axmaker Noir City The out-of-time iconography, decades-straddling style, and anywhere USA setting invite the audience to relish Reprisal's pulp ethos and appreciate the twists and turns of the ride as Doris unleashes chaos. Feb 14, 2020 Full Review Todd Jorgenson Cinemalogue Thoroughly uninspired and laughably incoherent, this low-budget parade of cops-and-robbers clichés is an embarrassment for all involved. Sep 7, 2018 Full Review Rob Hunter Film School Rejects "These people have been through enough," says a character in the film's final minutes, and you can't help but think he's talking about the audience.
