People may not like the honest brutality, but it gives a good picture of just how damaging child abuse is. A fantastic film. It should be dark, for it is dealing with a dark issue. As a movie, it's one long introduction while you wait for something to happen. Something does happen in the final minutes, but I did not buy it: Those guys don't repent because they don't think they're wrong.
