BigD J This film is obviously not as good as its predecessor. Unfortunately, no gratuitous nudity in this one. Old man Ed's incessant whining and wailing is annoying. Other than that, it's definitely still a classic I go out of my way to watch. This film encapsulates the classic 80's horror ridiculousness cheese factor with some great comedic scenes along the way! More than worth the watch Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/12/24 Full Review Justin T I enjoyed this film. It is good, but not as good as the first film. It is crazier but less engaging as the writing isn't as strong. It's still a very cool sequence to the horror-comedy classic that is the original. It also suffers because the next sequel is so crazy you forget about this one in the middle. The makeup and special effects are excellent. I wasn't the biggest fan of the ending, the first one did a much better job of ending but that doesn't matter as the build-up was funny, violent and fun! If you watched the first then you might as well watch this on your path to the third one. Just don't bother with the awful 2005 sequels. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/08/24 Full Review chris h Alot of haters on this one, just because it used same formula as first.Ppl knocking this are most likely those that think...the witch is a good movie.I love this movie and captures the 80s how I remember Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/24/23 Full Review Dave B Not well written or directed. Silly to the point of stupid. In this one, they bring back two of the key actors from the first movie as different characters (b/c they died in the first movie) who suffer the same fate. At some point in the movie, they have deja vu, which comes across as forced and unrealistic as it sounds. Painful to watch. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/01/23 Full Review Noah B I loved this movie i love the comedy works well and the soundtrack is amzaing and i kinda wish it had the original music and some of the comedy is a little too much but i loved the first one but the second one is to me the second best zombie film dawn of the dead is the first best zombie film in my opinon but these motherfuckas dont die no matter how many times they get shot at and get there body parts ripped off damn i love this movie and hope you love it to i watched this movie twice and i loved it every time Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/23 Full Review Steve D Might be worse than the first. Sara Michelle Fetters MovieFreak.com [It's] hard to imagine even die-hard genre fans who adore the original have much that's all that positive to say about this unfortunate misfire. Rated: 1.5/4 Sep 19, 2018 Full Review Variety Staff Variety The only saving grace in a totally misguided effort is the performance of character actor Bruns who is quite funny as the slightly off-the-wall doctor. Mar 26, 2009 Full Review Time Out Not even a nuclear explosion, it seems, can prevent a sequel to a tongue-in-cheek zombie pic. Jun 24, 2006 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review None of it makes much sense in terms of continuity, but it's pretty darn entertaining all the same. Rated: 2.5/4 Apr 9, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy This derivative sequel lacks the potency of its predecessor, which clearly possessed "More Brains!" Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 7, 2021 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Still self-aware of the zombie nonsense, going so far as to include some slapstick routines, this sequel essentially just repeats the plot from before.
