The film makes the mistake of wanting to he a bit of everything: tense, shocking, funny, old-fashioned, and morally correct. Go to Full Review

Joan Collins and James Booth are unconvincing even on this low level; and the best talent, Sinead Cusack, is thrown away in a minor part. Go to Full Review

09/25/2015 Father of an abducted and murdered schoolgirl kidnaps the prime suspect who was released by police and holds the beaten man in the cellar of his pub. Pretty good film where the tension builds as more and more evidence points to the kidnapping. A notable takeaway is one really must prepare a contingency when best laid plans fall apart at the seams. See more 06/03/2015 Family makes an ill-conceived attempt at kidnapping and justice after their child is killed with the most likely suspect being released by police due to lack of evidence. A disaster for all concerned. Worth a look; sensationalist British thriller proves criminal activity should best be left to criminals. See more 09/17/2012 A family traps a potential rapist in their basement, much banality ensues See more 08/27/2011 Unpleasant and violent though competent vigilante thriller from Carry On producer Peter Rogers. Joan Collins phones in her usual lazy, disinterested, graceless performance whilst the rest of the cast do their best with a script that attempts to deal with serious issues - child molestation, grief and the emotional complications of revenge but it's done in such over-the-top bad taste that the seriousness can't be taken seriously. Should appeal to Sun readers especially. See more Read all reviews
