Judith Martin Washington Post What fun it would be to see all those involved - including perhaps the durable Clouseau character - try something from scratch. May 9, 2017 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Often more frantic than funny. Rated: 2.5/4 Nov 7, 2021 Full Review Kathey Clarey Fresno Bee The film belongs to Sellers, who never fails to delight as Clouseau with his absurd pronunciations and crazy ways of doing things Perfectly underscoring his movements and those of the rest of the cast is the Henry Mancini score. Michael W This fourth Pink Panther movie was great. Peter Sellers, Herbert Lom, Burt Kwouk, Dyan Cannon, Robert Webber, and the rest of the cast did a great job in this movie. The plot of the movie was entertaining and humorous like the previous movies. It's another funny crime story with Clouseau on taking down a drug smuggling ring. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/09/24 Full Review Marcus T The usual mayhem and silliness, but it's good for a few laughs if you're in the mood for something off the wall. Peter Sellers doing his thing, perhaps outdoing the craziness of the earlier installments in this series. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/24 Full Review Alec B Disappointing that the last one of these to made while Sellers was still alive is so boring and uninspired. Gags that were already tired in the previous movie continue to be repeated and everything else, even the potentially good ideas, feel lazy. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/10/24 Full Review isla s I found this to be a very silly, amusing, highly entertaining watch, similar to the other Pink Panther films with Peter Sellers. It features some well choreographed fight scenes with Cato, plus some fun chase scenes and while the humour may be viewed by some as a bit too juvenile, as I say I enjoyed it, so it suited me (make of that what you will but I don't think I'm a stupid person). Its pretty inoffensive stuff, any sex references are really quite mild and the like, compared to comedy films of this day and age. I enjoy the quirky, comic book feel that the film has, with the main character (Clousseau) being quite comical. If you've seen other live action Pink Panther films then you'll know roughly what to expect. I'd happily recommend this film. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Chase sequences, a fake death, fireworks, mistaken identity, silly disguises, henchman who know karate, saving a woman by accident, even a brothel, how can it get more crazy and fascinating of a movie?? Peter Sellers knocks it out of the park as always, along with Burt Kwouk and Herbert Lom! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The Inflatable Parrot scene is worth five stars alone. This is the last great Pink Panther film, and the most parodical, with targets ranging from Hong Kong kung-fu to The French Connection to The Godfather to Saturday Night Fever and even The Pink Panther itself. It's pure silliness. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews
