Laya Lee Chicago Reader Rez Ball memorializes the heart it takes to chase your dreams. Oct 3, 2024 Full Review Nicolas Rapold New York Times The movie tends to race through actual game play — though the actors at least can handle the ball — and so the film’s strength lies more in the players’ easy rapport and the New Mexico location shooting. Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News Director and co-screenwriter Sydney Freeland keeps the story feeling real as Jimmy overcomes adversity and sees hope in the game on the court and in his own life. Rated: 3/4 Sep 25, 2024 Full Review Joe Lipsett Hazel & Katniss & Harry & Starr Podcast A familiar, albeit welcome entry into the underdog sports canon. The film's characters are slight and the conflict is easily overcome, which makes the nearly 2 hr runtime draggy, but the bits on Navajo language are superb. Rated: 3/5 Apr 8, 2025 Full Review Vicci Ho Flicks (AU, NZ, UK) While it is possible to see the potential for a more original and complex film in Rez Ball, what we have is still a perfectly entertaining film fronted by a strong Native American cast. Jan 15, 2025 Full Review Charles Solomon FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) This is a standard underdog come-from-behind sports story, but it's given greater breadth and depth by its setting... This could've been a really striking movie. As it is, it's an interesting one that suggests promise more than accomplishment. Nov 3, 2024 Full Review Read all reviews

SDSF Excellent movie! Fantastic acting! A must see for all. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/23/24 Full Review Torin F REZ BALL employs a familiar sports movie formula to create a dynamic, entertaining and heartfelt portrait of indigenous life that is elevated by place-based details and a very talented cast. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/13/25 Full Review SkyRo P Rez Ball is an entertaining movie centered around the game of basketball that I had the pleasure of watching with my son. Released in 2024, the film features a cast of relatively unknown actors, bringing fresh faces to the screen. The movie is a delightful experience, skillfully directed with a vibrant energy and a solid script. It not only captures the team's quest to succeed but also delves into the personal struggles of each character, allowing viewers to connect with them on a deeper level. Regarding the screenplay, I found it to be well-crafted overall, though there were a few instances where certain scenes could have been tweaked for clarity or impact. Nonetheless, the film remains an enjoyable journey, perfect for a casual rewatch. While it may not be a film you'd rush to see repeatedly, it certainly offers enough charm to make a return visit worthwhile. My son genuinely loved the movie, which speaks volumes coming from a child who typically prefers animated features or superhero flicks. His enthusiasm for Rezz Ball highlights its appeal beyond the typical genre expectations. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/25 Full Review S. E H Watched the movie. Location was obviously awesome too see. They had some comedy that was and wasn’t called for but time wasting. It had some good, bad, and ok story content. Could have went on more about the team buildups and not focus on the fast win and how badly the team did. Also it should have shown more to make the story more awesome. It felt like I was watching Money Ball but it was basketball on the Rez. Watched as the coach was from Frontier and it was on Netflix….It had potential but got lost in translation and was rushed in a bad way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/27/24 Full Review Josh W Its a great story told by great writing. If you're looking for a good "feel good" movie, this is the one Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/24 Full Review Carlos T Filme: Guerreiros do Basquete Assistido: 13-11-24 Elenco: @kauchani @jessicamatten @zoeyreyes @juliarjones @kusemgoodwind @kiowajgordon @ambermidthunder @jojojaxn @dallasgoldtooth Modelo: #esporte #motivação #drama Duração: 1h 51m Ano: 2024 Minha opinião: Um filme que já conhecemos a estória. Vale apena assistir?
