The movie is packed with articulate people who knew Pryor well, but the clips of the Man himself will leave you weeping for more. Go to Full Review

As a showcase of Pryor's talent and influence, Omit the Logic is undeniably fun. It just feels a little slight given the massive cultural influence of its subject matter. Go to Full Review
Mike Hale New York Times 06/03/2013
The film's inevitable compressions, made worse by the amount of empty, self-congratulatory celebrity blathering, mean that every Pryor fan will have omissions to complain about. Go to Full Review

Omit the Logic is more likely to omit laughter as it focuses on Pryor's false career starts, drug use, depression, multiple marriages and divorces, his struggles with MS, and the infamous incident in which the comedian set himself on fire. Go to Full Review

georgan g 06/19/2021 A sad tale of a life that began with too many disadvantages and ended by self-medicating a brilliant comic to death. See more 02/27/2021 Unless you’re a diehard Richard Pryor fan I would skip this documentary. It’s mostly just clips of his various works and interview saying how great of a person he was. There’s nothing really new or informative here. If I was a bigger fan maybe I would have enjoyed it more but he’s not one of my favorite comedians. See more 05/04/2016 Richard Pryor replied to mel brooks sure lets meet for breakfast...ill see you at 4...love it See more 06/21/2015 anything about Pryor is going to be great, but this didn't really offer anything new and seemed to concentrate on his failures rather than his successes. See more 06/16/2015 so much stuff I never knew. Crazy stories. See more 04/16/2015 What a massive downer of a film. See more Read all reviews
