Amy Taubin Film Comment Magazine The movie is packed with articulate people who knew Pryor well, but the clips of the Man himself will leave you weeping for more. Aug 29, 2019 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com As a showcase of Pryor's talent and influence, Omit the Logic is undeniably fun. It just feels a little slight given the massive cultural influence of its subject matter. Rated: 3/5 Jun 5, 2013 Full Review Mike Hale New York Times The film's inevitable compressions, made worse by the amount of empty, self-congratulatory celebrity blathering, mean that every Pryor fan will have omissions to complain about. Jun 3, 2013 Full Review Mekeisha Madden Toby Black Girl Nerds If fans want more, they'll have to read the eye-opening autobiography, "Pryor Convictions." In the meantime, consider "Omit the Logic" a very hearty and worthwhile aperitif. Sep 11, 2018 Full Review J.C. Maçek III PopMatters Omit the Logic is more likely to omit laughter as it focuses on Pryor's false career starts, drug use, depression, multiple marriages and divorces, his struggles with MS, and the infamous incident in which the comedian set himself on fire. Rated: 7/10 Feb 16, 2015 Full Review Amber Wilkinson Eye for Film This may be a jet-ski ride over Pryor's life rather than a deep-sea dive but it offers a firm celebration that's likely to encourage those who have watched it to seek out more material from the man himself - and that can never be a bad thing. Rated: 3.5/5 Jun 11, 2013 Full Review Read all reviews

georgan g A sad tale of a life that began with too many disadvantages and ended by self-medicating a brilliant comic to death. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Unless you’re a diehard Richard Pryor fan I would skip this documentary. It’s mostly just clips of his various works and interview saying how great of a person he was. There’s nothing really new or informative here. If I was a bigger fan maybe I would have enjoyed it more but he’s not one of my favorite comedians. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/21 Full Review Audience Member Richard Pryor replied to mel brooks sure lets meet for breakfast...ill see you at 4...love it Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member anything about Pryor is going to be great, but this didn't really offer anything new and seemed to concentrate on his failures rather than his successes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member so much stuff I never knew. Crazy stories. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member What a massive downer of a film.
