Audience Member Woah, this one passes the Bechdel Test. Probably the best of Dorothy Page's short lived career as Grand National's Singing Cowgirl. This time she's a shootin' rodeo ridin' outlaw singin' cowgirl - no sitting on the sidelines for Dorothy! She even gets to sing some fun songs for once, including "I Love The Wide Open Spaces." I liked her dynamic with Linn Mayberry, I would have loved to see a longer serial about two women running a ranch together. Alas. Plot is that basically a group of jerks try and frame Dorothy Page's dad as having faked a robbery so Dorothy takes the blame herself and then immediately goes on the run because she knows who probably did it but needs more proof. While on the run she hatches a plot to show up and win the rodeo so she technically gets all of the stolen money back, and then sets up the bad guys to frame themselves. Not the most exciting plot, but there's so much cool stuff in there it's a fun watch. All that's missing is Dave O'Brien!!! Oh well.
