S R Bizarre and silly. Perhaps that's what this world is coming to? Although I didn't identify with much of it, it still entertained. Saw on Hulu. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/28/24 Full Review Michael L Honestly when the movie started I had high hopes. The first half hour was great and intriguing. Then, everything you think is gonna happen, just doesn't happen. He never really finds a solution for his problems and the movie just kinda ends. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Jonathan H Small cast, quiet, introspective yet funny film. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Not a lot happens, but that might have been the point. The past can hurt us and keep us from growing, which this film does a good job at reminding us of. It's important to forgive past wrongs, grow from them and become stronger. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/24 Full Review Josh H A hilarious emotional rollercoaster that dives into what to expect if your estranged mother dies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/24 Full Review Tanya This movie had so much potential but fell so flat. I even hate saying this because I love Jake. I had to FF thru the phone calls because they were too silly & unrealistic. Just a weird energy to it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Sarah louise H Really well acted with old fashioned traditional story telling. An uplifting grief and reconciliation film. Cath Clarke Guardian It's a bit indulgent but, still, a gentle watch. Rated: 3/5 Oct 5, 2021 Full Review Randy Myers San Jose Mercury News "Eagle" might be modest and simple but it's also rewarding, a gentle comedy-drama about letting go and growing up. Rated: 2.5/4 Aug 2, 2021 Full Review Peter Rainer FilmWeek (KPCC - NPR Los Angeles) It's a pretty good, genial, offbeat movie. Jul 31, 2021 Full Review Kevin Harley Radio Times This is a slender but sweet take on how life, love and loss never go to plan. Rated: 3/5 Mar 23, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A genial comedy even if it never delivers much of a punch. Rated: B- Oct 10, 2021 Full Review Matthew Singleton Film Inquiry Even if it does not stray too far from the path of what one might expect from this sort of film, it'll still manage to leave smiles on most faces thanks primarily to Johnson, the beating heart of the story, and his wonderful chemistry with Carden.
