The Wild West has gone to Hell, literally, and the world's best hope of being saved lies in the gun-slinging hands of Sheriff Roy Pulsipher (Jeffrey Donovan) as he becomes the newest officer for the Rest In Peace Department (R.I.P.D.) enforcing the afterlife's laws. If the Old West was wild while he was alive, wait until Roy sees how weird it gets once he dies. Roy thought joining the R.I.P.D. would give him a chance to revisit his daughter and solve the mystery of his murder. Instead, he has his holsters full with havoc and hellfire when he's given a mission to stop a dangerous demon from opening a portal to the underworld. The fate of the living and the dead now depends on Roy and his partner Jeanne (Penelope Mitchell), a mysterious swordswoman, as cowboys clash with creatures and undead insanity unleashes apocalyptic chaos.

Slightly comical, and worthwhile watching when you have nothing better to do, but it has hardly any relation to R.I.P.D. 1, which surely was a fantastic monster action comedy. This sequel, if one can call it a sequel, has none of those fascinating and funny monsters. The story is odd and only has some decent CGI of a demon very close to the end. Don't expect any great action like in the original edition, though there is some B-movie style action, like this was shot for a dollar and a half. 5/10 points.

This move was horrendous, I'm not sure why they decided to change Roy's back story a great deal. The acting was below subpar, all in all, a very messy movie trying to piggy back off a previously mediocre film. I don't think its predecessor deserved a sequel, or even a green light for that matter. However, here we are. Although it's terrible, I recommend you watch and form your own opinion and thoughts, if we've all learned anything from this site is that the critics often leave misguided reviews. Good luck, keep watching! Side note: the CGI and VFX were tremendously well done.
