      Brett C I was initially unsure as to watching. The "Talented" version had all future work with Damon seriously demonized by his performance.... creepy. Well of course I watched it. Another actor has seriously demonized all his future work. Well, now I know. It's all Miss Highsmith's fault. Ripley once again is a character I love to watch anytime because its so interesting to see what scheme he is up to next and how far is he willing to go to not get caught. Must Watch. Barry Pepper as always delivered a great performance and is hot in this movie. I felt bad rooting for Tom Ripley even though I know he's very naughty. He had a nice chemistry with Jacinda Barrett. Their tender scenes made me giddy. Alan Cumming and Claire Forlani were so amusing, Tom Wilkinson and Wilhelm Dafoe were very effective in their roles. This movie should have been given better publicity and distribution. Such a shame that it did not get the attention it deserved.
