DJ F @RT57784607 1d I am intrigued. No superstar leads, never heard of it but it unfolds like the most seasoned storytelling saga should. So in that respect I should say I am pleasantly surprised. This kind of action thriller doesn't come as often as these kind of movies used to, which is why I enjoyed it even more. Escapism, betrayal, great believable fight scenes, solid acting, comic like in a graphic novel kind of way, and modern, slick and clean visuals. Very well put together. I loved learning about historical figures lesser known in the western world with a Gladiator-esque story line and the stunts and production design to match. The acting was great and I appreciated the way complicated characters and context was introduced. The horses and battle scenes were epic and the film made me want to learn more about Timur and his legacy. It was incredible to watch the character develop throughout the movie. giving up his will to fight to getting back to his old self and fighting for not just his future but for those around him. Also the setting, utterly beautiful, they filmed it in real small villages, not another set! It made the movie feel more realistic, the chess pieces, the details in the doors, and especially the costumes! And I love how everything really tied in, the lighting paired so well with the sound tracks and the filming! Anyway, please watch this movie, it was sooooo good!!
