Kate Muir Times (UK) The adrenaline-fuelled view from bike cameras descends into crash-porn waiting to happen, as the film luxuriates in its own grief. Rated: 2/5 Sep 23, 2014 Full Review Donald Clarke Irish Times Featuring a rich brown voiceover by Liam Neeson and sickening on-bike footage, Road tells terrible, exciting, tragic stories that fairly rattle the spine. Rated: 4/5 Jun 18, 2014 Full Review Mark Kermode Observer (UK) Slathered in portentous narration by Liam Neeson and a ludicrously over-cranked and incessant score, both of which conspire to undercut, rather than enhance, the overall impact. Rated: 2/5 Jun 15, 2014 Full Review Scott Davis CineVue Filmed with incredible depth and zip by filmmakers Hewitt and Lavery, Road is an earnest, realistic acknowledgement of the sport, showing the impacts of the brothers' love for the sport. Rated: 3/5 Mar 26, 2019 Full Review Simon Kinnear Total Film Less adventurous stylistically than other motorsport docs, maybe, but more heartfelt thanks to a spine of bittersweet first-person testimony and the sensory eloquence of the Dunlops in motion. Rated: 4/5 Jun 9, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews

Leaburn O A better racing documentary would Han Senna. One of the best sporting documentaries ever made. The story needs an update as the family history continues to be dramatic. Watched on Amazon Prime. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/22/24 Full Review Audience Member Best film ever! So inspiring Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Brilliant! Quality show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting account of the Dunlop's family history in the high-risk world of motorbike racing. The documentary pulls together well lots of archive footage. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member The highs are adrenaline fueled and exhilarating, but the narration and score are unrelentingly breathless and overwrought throughout. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Plot/Action: 2* Production: 3* Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
