Joshua Polanski Boston Hassle Road to Boston delights a bit in fish-out-of-water and defacing Americans humor. Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Ian Kane Epoch Times “Road to Boston” offers a technically superior, refreshing portrayal of masculinity and patriotism, themes often overlooked in modern Western cinema. Jim Beautifully told true story. Excellent performances by the three leads especially the young marathon runner. Stunning camerawork highlights the emotional tale. Very much like a Spielberg film in its scope and feel. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/09/23 Full Review Clark Kent Beautiful film based on a true story. "You can't represent Korea to compete in the Boston Marathon, because Korea in 1947 is just a refugee country." Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/08/23 Full Review Greg K Engaging, optimistic and motivating story against the backdrop of chaotic times, albeit a little too melodramatic. But thats what we like about cinema, don't we? Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/03/24 Full Review Clint A Like a good inspired by true events films? Road to Boston turns a really good story into a great film. Funny moments dashed between some quite emotionally moving scenes. Culminating in an exciting feel good finish…. all the way to the line. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/15/23 Full Review MJ C Inspiring true story of Suh Yun Bok, played by Yim Siwan, who ran the 1947 Boston Marathon under the Korean flag after the country's liberation from Japanese rule. His achievement not only brought international attention to Korean athletes, but to a newly independent nation. Watch the movie to learn a little history, be swept up in emotion as Koreans helped the athletes get to Boston, and cheer as he runs up Heartbreak Hill.
