Synopsis
The Transpacific Yacht Race, an annual event covering over 2000 miles between Southern California and Hawaii, is a grueling task that requires immense determination, bravery and skill. In the 1997 race, the yacht Survivor is piloted by a crew of HIV-positive men, many of whom have little or no sailing experience. Besides the drama of the crew's personal stories, the boat nearly capsizes on more than one occasion and suffers damage while passing through a storm.
