As a big fan who grew up with these movies I was interested to see this. I preferred the more character driven first half and the deletion of the annoying robot. I think the later fight scene while being more realistic lost something without the bombastic over the top theatre. Still very glad I have see. It. Ideally I would have included a bit more of the original to expand the story.

It's a good re-doing of the film. And if I didn't know how the movie ended and it was my first time seeing it I'd probably be blown away by it 🤯. But the directors cut isn't quite as good as the original. It was just a little too rough cut.

This was the first movie I ever saw at the cinema and as an 80s kid it blew your mind with the visual and montage delivery! I actually prefer the new version as it makes it stand up in more realistic way than the original… There's always some negative idiots that just hate on everything but the reality is that in 1985 this knocked Return of the Jedi and ET off the uk box office and made it back to the cinema 35 years later because it's fucking fantastic!

When compared to the theatrical cut, Rocky IV: Rocky vs. Drago is much better by way of its visual and sound effects. If one were to watch every Rocky film in order, I would heavily recommend this version when given the choice.
