Peter Howell Toronto Star This is more than just a Pink Floyd's greatest-hits show, but not much more than that. Rated: 3/4 Sep 26, 2019 Full Review Mark Keizer Variety Earns its stripes by affirming the timelessness of Waters' thematic concerns and proving that fresh material doesn't have to be the medicine we're forced to swallow to hear the classics. Sep 7, 2019 Full Review Peter Sobczynski eFilmCritic.com A something that tries to bring new people into the fold. As such things go, however, it is an undeniably well-produced example that will presumably blow the minds of those who watch it. Jun 18, 2020 Full Review Terry Staunton Radio Times Waters is to be applauded for engaging in a form of protest when most of his contemporaries are settling for box-ticking exercises in nostalgia. Rated: 3/5 Oct 7, 2019 Full Review Liam Lacey Original Cin Equal parts concert film and anti-establishment rally, this documentary about the Pink Floyd frontman shot in Amsterdam in 2018 is a must for fans... but a definitely maybe for the merely curious. Oct 1, 2019 Full Review Andrew Parker The Gate Extremely passionate, [and] a bit too on-the-nose... but as a rock show that has to be strangely scaled down to fit on a cinema screen, it's still a sight to behold. John B I thought was a very good documentary of the experience a concert goer would feel while at a Pink Floyd concert. It's a unique feel and different from your traditional concert as the crowd is calm while taking in the music & imagery offered through each song & message delivered by Roger Waters & his team of musicians Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 07/19/23 Full Review brian u AWFUL.. first of all, Rog, Just play your fucking music. We dont care to hear about Trump, Israel, and other stuff you dont like. SECOND MOST of the songs are songs that GILMOUR and WRIGHT sang, NOT Roger. And the people doing most of the singing are the people he hired. This is bad. He should have done the complete Amused to death album or Pros and Cons instead of this rubbish Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member and after all, were only ordinary men. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Probably the most moving film and music experiences of my life, highly recommend watching Roger Waters - The Wall after. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Roger was pivotal in the creation of a LOT of this music, but with him just playing bass and singing on some of the tracks makes this seem like an indulgent, politically motivated light show by a (mostly) Pink Floyd cover band. I was excited to see this video, I have tickets for the postponed tour as well - but this made me slightly less excited about the upcoming live show. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member To continue to create such live shows as Roger Waters has become known for and bring such energy to his performance, particularly at his age, is nothing short of incredible. This film is a wonderfully faithful representation of what was a stellar tour, and does justice to Waters' back catalogue, both solo and with Pink Floyd.
