Orphan villager Bunnie (Katarzyna Dabrowska) is sent to live in the city with her uncle and aunt. Bunnie adjusts to her new surroundings and writes a happy letter to her foster parents, who travel frequently. But when she gives the letter to a neighbor boy to be mailed, he replaces the real letter with a fake that describes Bunnie's unhappiness. The letter ends up in the hands of her uncle. Devastated, Bunnie runs off to find a friendly veterinarian she met on the train.
