Donald J. Levit ReelTalk Movie Reviews The eighty-eight-minute watch of this individual case has limited appeal. Of greater general interest are issues raised about justice, politics, finance and fame. Sep 27, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A little dry and self-important Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member No much interest on this kind of gossiping "documentary". Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member A follow-up to Zenovich's Roman Polanski: Wanted and Desired, this documentary portrays the director's 2009 house arrest in Switzerland (politically motivated, perhaps, by the U.S./Swiss USB banking mixup) and possible extradition to America. Most interesting for the inclusion of Samantha Geimer, the teenage girl (now middle-aged woman) whom Polanski raped in 1977. Geimer is a no-bullshit lady, and I like her. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Interesting, but mainly because of the questions it raises and complexities of the case it highlights. The girl (now woman) and even her mother contribute enough that you get a feel for their side, but you're left wondering whether or not the lack of input from Polanski is a significant factor in him coming out of this film looking pretty good. It's not that he's put on a pedestal here, just that you really don't learn enough about him - I found myself reading articles and reports afterwards. Perhaps this is really just a footnote to 'Wanted and Desired', which I haven't seen. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member A fine and well-made documentary. Enjoyable and informative. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/23/23 Full Review Audience Member A wonderful follow-up to Roman Polanski: Wanted And Desired (2008). It's fascinating to think that the aforementioned earlier Doc was used to try to get the case against Polanski dismissed. This should have been released on DVD as well.
