Romance of a Horsethief is a comedy without any feel for comedy. What eventually happens is funny enough but most of the people involved are deadly serious.

Eli Wallach, Yul Brynner! Serio-comedy is an entertaining, fun movie to watch. By the way, what happened to the 46 audience reviews Rotten Tomatoes shows this movie has? How can it have a 33% audience rating when there aren't any?

This film was my family. My great grand parents were form Mlawa and when I first heard Yul Brenner say, " The horse Traders of Mlawa..." a cold chill went down my back
