Room 203 accomplishes exactly what it needs to. It provides scares and familiarity, but deviates from the formula just enough to keep anyone from becoming bored. The acting carries the film and the shaky third act does not take away from the enjoyment.

This was as derivative of a hundred other horror films. Usually my experiences align with the audience reviews. But, in the case of "Room 203", neither the RT or audience ratings came close. The relationship between the boyfriend/journalist was not all that convincing. And the scares could be seen from miles away. I would save your hour and a half for another movie.

I am a scary movie/ thriller/ horror junkie, who watches a ton of movies. I found this one to be a bit slow. The storyline lacks excitement, and it has some of what I call "cheesy" moments. The actors lacked on acting & the effects were mediocre. I don't want to say too much to give anything away but overall I found it hard to watch the whole movie & stay focused. Definitely could have been much better.
