Jochan Embley London Evening Standard Rooney was a great, and the film proves that, but you can’t help wondering how much greater he could have been. Leaburn O Unfortunately not a very deep examination of his career or personality. The early days are well covered and then the Director appeared to get bored and decided a quick montage would cover ten years of his career, whilst we were meant to delight in being served up yet more over analysis of his England tournament career. A missed opportunity but somewhat redeemed by a reminder of just how brilliant Rooney was at his very best. Watched on Channel 4. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
