As far as Hallmark Chanukah movies go, Round and Round is in the upper tier but this isn't saying much given a very limited selection. Go to Full Review

Brad W @BradPasta 5d Cute romp. Light fun with a silly script and a "groundhog's day" theme. I enjoyed how they used the sci-fi tropes around time travel to full advantage. This one is a good, cute rom com. See more Daniel C Dec 29 Did anyone do a Groundhog Day before they did Groundhog Day? Because every TV show that can get away with winds up doing a Groundhog Day episode now and several movies have started stealing the premise. The reason they do that is because reliving the same day over and over is a pretty fun premise, and this movie is no exception. A Hallmark "Christmas" movie actually set around the other major December holiday, this movie sets itself apart from the channel's standards rom-coms by leaning into a bunch of nerdy fun. When the love interest introduces her to his buddy at the comic book store, the movie takes off at warp 5 in a Delorean and doesn't look back (except it has to, again and again.) This movie is delightful and completely unexpected. See more Epic Kate B Aug 17 Oh my goodness this was so so good! Funny, refreshing, full of heart, it made me laugh and cry. I had to watch because of Vic and being a fan of them on Dropout and I'm so glad I did, I never would have purposely watched a Hallmark movie otherwise. I thought they were all dumb and predictable but this one wasn't! See more Thomas R Jan 10 Had no business being this good. I've seen a fair number of Hallmark movies, and while this one follows many of the same all-too-familiar beats, it does so nestled among a somehow-fresh take on a "groundhog day" type plot. The actors are fun and likeable, which is not uncommon for a Hallmark movie but also not a given either. The story isn't always wholly original but it has a lot of fun playing on the tropes of time-loop media by dipping into nerdy pop-culture references, and allowing their characters to have a hint of self-awareness without overdoing it and becoming fully meta. The real star is the script, which is shockingly full of hidden gem lines you wouldn't expect in film on the Hallmark channel. That dialogue is elevated further by the effortless skill of the charming main cast, most especially Vic's ability to mix in short improvised interjections that really sell her goofy awkwardness (and by extension, her character growth in the film). And, of course, "Stop the World" as the linchpin of a romcom soundtrack might be cliché but it always works. Maybe low expectations helped this film out, but I couldn't help enjoying it and have no qualms recommending it. See more 1st M 12/19/2023 Not a big Hallmark holiday movie fan but thought I'd catch this one. OMG, LOVED it. I'd watch a weekly series starring these two (and the ensemble cast). Funny and touching and well done all the way around. See more Tiffany G 12/17/2023 Review: https://wp.me/p65txm-eRu/#RoundAndRound See more Read all reviews
