isla s I thought this film was quite touching given the plot/themes. I liked the scenes set in the moors, with some nice shots of the rural landscape and its quite thought provoking, making me wonder what it may be like to be a young child like Philip, who struggles to talk much, or otherwise 'come out of his shell' as people tend to say. I couldn't help but think he was misunderstood. He's well played by Mark Lester. Its quite emotional at times. so you've been warned in that regard. I found this an intriguing and thought provoking film and I'd recommend it on that basis. I usually dislike old movies and harshly criticise them for the smallest of reasons but this was amazing. You get the opportunity to see life through the perspective of an innocent boy who has difficulties expressing his thoughts and emotions and how he progresses throughout the movie. You will find yourself smiling every time Philip musters the courage to speak. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
