Charles Hartford But Why Tho? A Geek Community Rurouni Kenshin: The Final does everything I could ask it to. It gives action, emotion, and great character into the final installment of one of my most beloved franchises. Rated: 10/10 Jan 16, 2023 Full Review Pieter-Jan Van Haecke Psychocinematography While spectators new to Rurouni Kenshin might not grasp some of the narrative's finer details or feel somewhat less involved in Kenshin's saga, they'll still find a lot to like in this fantastical samurai narrative. Dec 23, 2021 Full Review Mark Schilling Japan Times Action director Kenji Tanigaki, who worked in Hong Kong with such stars as Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen, brings a panache and impact to these scenes that lift them above the Japanese action norm. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 11, 2021 Full Review Dylan Griffin The Young Folks ...a harrowingly gorgeous film about an ephemeral love splintered by the times. It's one that can be experienced isolated or in the context of the other films in the series... Rated: 10/10 Aug 2, 2021 Full Review Johnny Loftus Decider Rurouni Kenshin: Final ties a satisfying knot with a few loose ends, and, when it finally gets round to it, fully engages with its big battle energy. Love the acting, storyline, and fight scenes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/10/23 Full Review BEN JAM HOUSE This was done so artfully and perfect. I loved it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Kyle E It has a better villain and exciting action sequences Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review fire s A wonderful adaptation of the anime, of the iconic Enishi arc that we missed in the anime. Mackenyu as Enishi was wonderfully cast. Action sequences for everyone is a must watch. Loved it even for Soujirou. Wished it didn't end but this was a lovely sequel. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/22 Full Review Late R Though the films quickly devolved into what amounts to a string of kinetic, spectacular fight scenes, ‘The Final' adds back the heart that was missing since the first entry into the franchise, although it maintains the ridiculously high production value and big visuals. These films are action-packed fun every time and that would be enough for me, but this one even has that little bit extra, too.
