What to Know

Critics Consensus

Rush Hour 3 is a tired rehash of the earlier films, and a change of scenery can't hide a lack of new ideas.

No matter how fast Chris Tucker shoots his mouth or Jackie Chan flashes his fists, they can't recapture the charm of the original Rush Hour in this third installment. Go to Full Review

Like Lethal Weapon, this franchise has become lazier and less thrilling with each instalment. Hopefully, unlike Lethal Weapon, they'll stop at Part Three. Go to Full Review

The third installment is so cartoonishly stupid it makes the original look like a classic. Go to Full Review

By the third time around, though, we know that these two get along and it's just not as funny anymore. Go to Full Review

Rolf G Nov 29 In an attempt to make the third movie relevant they ended up crating another national lampoon. Again the daughter is kidnapped and again the old white guy was in on it but this time Lee was an orphan and on the streets where as in the first he talks about his father the cop. Much of the action is also familiar like the bad guy falling to his death and the parashoot bit was just silly though there are a few of the action scenes that get a laugh. Adding French theatre is always going to be popular but then the ridiculous takes over and the finger heads to the stop button. By the end the French police should sue for slander and the rest of us sue to waiting 90 minutes of our lives. See more Sep 24 Plots and dialogues in the movie are so good Jackie Chans character is funny and serious and Chris as James Carter is so hilarious him being in love with women and not focusing is what made me love it See more Nickolas L. @NickEL Sep 23 It was ok. It wasn’t really like the other two. See more Mike D Sep 15 Way worse than the first two. This was phoned in for a paycheck. Villains were dumb and overdramatic, the girl they are trying to rescue sucks at acting and their relationship with her seems so fake. See more David D Sep 7 Not sure why everyone hated on this film. It stands equal to the second. It's just a shame they waited so long to make it. This should, in time, be the forth film. See more Regina T Aug 18 Fun watch if you liked the other rush hours!
