Critics Consensus

Rush Hour 3 is a tired rehash of the earlier films, and a change of scenery can't hide a lack of new ideas.

Ben Walters Time Out Rated: 1/5 Nov 18, 2011 Full Review Tim Grierson Screen International No matter how fast Chris Tucker shoots his mouth or Jackie Chan flashes his fists, they can't recapture the charm of the original Rush Hour in this third installment. Jul 23, 2008 Full Review Nick De Semlyen Empire Magazine Like Lethal Weapon, this franchise has become lazier and less thrilling with each instalment. Hopefully, unlike Lethal Weapon, they'll stop at Part Three. Rated: 2/5 Aug 17, 2007 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Somehow manages to be even lousier than the second film. Rated: 1/4 Aug 14, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins Remarkably redundant yet still highly entertaining. Rated: 7/10 Nov 27, 2020 Full Review Richard Propes TheIndependentCritic.com By the third time around, though, we know that these two get along and it's just not as funny anymore. TROY S So again we are back with a sequel of the Rush Hour series. The first two were pretty good comedy movies staring both Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker as cop partners with a typical plot with good action mixed with comedy. This one follows the same structure, but how does it hold up? Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/04/24 Full Review Rare T It fails to prolong the high bar set by its predecessor, but that doesn’t make it short of entertaining. Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker are as great as ever, and so is their humor, while retaining originality. Rush Hour 3 is reminiscent of the first installment, and even a little bit of the second, without there being any repetition. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/10/24 Full Review Nikhil K You don’t need to pay attention to story and realism when the cast is like them. Just enjoy the comedy. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/29/24 Full Review Scarlett H Stunts were good. Storyline was lacking. Why Jackie refused to kill kenji beats me. I only gave it 1.5 starts because of the bloopers at the end 🤷‍♀️ Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 07/25/24 Full Review Idan Charles L This is underated af!! My fav Rush Hour tbh Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/24 Full Review bre d personally. best movie out there Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/15/24 Full Review Read all reviews
