Audience Member Excellent story and cast. Stellar performance by Josh Henderson and it was great to see Aidan Quinn again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review ronald h _Rushlights_ is a clumsy, sophomoric attempt at film noir that fails miserably, due to an amateurish script, one-dimensional characters, and insipid dialogue. An overbearing score just makes things worse. Two young people hook up in Los Angeles. Before we even get a chance to learn anything abut their relationship, they're on the run because the girl's roommate has OD'd on drugs. Why didn't they call the cops? It's not explained. Hiding out in a motel, they find that the girl has mistakenly taken her roommate's bag (a ridiculous coincidence that's nothing more than a plot device). In it, they find a letter from a Texas attorney, telling the roommate that she has inherited a fortune from her estranged uncle. In her wallet is her driver's license, and conveniently, she practically looks like identical to the girl (another absurd coincidence, within 15 minutes of the movie's start). The plan? Go to the Texas town, and the girl will impersonate her roommate and collect the inheritance. Once they get there, everything goes wrong, but it's all so silly, I'm not bothering to go into detail. I suppose this plot could have worked in the hands of a skilled filmmaker, but the whole thing plays like it written by a 12 year old. That's how bad it is. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! So many twists & turns that kept you guessing. It could have a better ending but definitely worth watching! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review jeffrey r If it was truly "inspired by true events" then it was at least memorable...so how much of that convoluted plot was true? Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Enjoyed it but didn't really understand it Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie was a train wreck. It wasn't really a good movie but I couldn't stop watching. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
