Victor O A moment of inspiration has led me to look into Sarah Carter’s filmography, and this movie caught my attention. While billed high, the apparent star of this film is James Van Der Beek, alongside what would appear to be the more billable AJ Michalka. This looked interesting so I decided to take a look. Addie manages a diner in a small town called Salem Falls, taking care of her alcoholic father and endures severe coping over the death of her daughter. But things seem to take a turn for the better when her father nearly runs down a stranger driving into town. Jack is a down on his luck gym teacher who was accused and convicted as a sex offender as he grows to become close with Addie all the while he catches the unwelcome eyes of the mayor’s daughter. Gillian is deep into Wiccan as she wills the power of a savior to protect her from someone, and she has chosen Jack with disastrous results as the truth comes out. This was a terrible movie. Please make no mistake the actors are wonderful, but this was a terrible story that wanted to exalt a level of respect towards men and empowerment to women but does it so disrespectfully. This movie was beautifully filmed and had a level of realism but the acting was so bad. Just a terrible movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I really wasn't sure if I was going to like this when I first started the movie, but I'm glad I continued to watch because it turned out to be a pretty interesting movie with a good ending. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member Wow, Salem & Witches mixed with troubled teens and cute teachers... That was weird but not bad at all. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Predictable but I liked it. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A good movie in that it slowly draws you in, drags you down when everything goes wrong, then pulls you back up when some issues get resolved.
