Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times Salt and Pepper is at least nominally a comedy. But it contains scenes too violent to be absorbed by the comedy form and becomes a weird exercise in inconsistency: We're never quite sure whether to expect a pratfall or an immolation. Rated: 1.5/4 Jul 6, 2018 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …a revealing snapshot of awful swinging sixties mores… Rated: 1/5 Oct 13, 2022 Full Review Matt Brunson Film Frenzy Davis overplays while Lawford underplays, which results in a nice chemistry between their characters. Audience Member Campus and a bit ridiculous. But watchable for the nostalgia. One of many films from.the 1960's inspired by the Bond craze. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Tier two Rat Packers Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis Jr. are London club owners who's lives become a series of wacky hijinks after a mobster comes by their establishment. It's an awfully force comedy that somehow managed to be successful enough to spawn a sequel. Sammy is charming, though I've never understood the appeal of Lawford. Sinatra sings over the end credits, but I think this film is only for Rat Pack completionists. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Goofy run at the unlikely hero story doesn't leave any new impression than the famous leads already brought by appearing in the film. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Sammy davis Jr is too foolish at times. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Just plain dreadful. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Cute spy movie...rat pack style. Peter Lawford and Sammy Davis Jr. Pull some inspector clouseau stunts but save the day in the end.
