Audience Member Masterpiece. I judge movies and tv shows based on its emotional impact on me, and needless to say this was one of the most beautiful experiences I have ever had with a movie.. Just plain outright amazing, a very impactful and inspirational film.. Just when I'd thought I've seen everything from Rurouni Kenshin, I find this movie.. The soundtrack was outwright beautiful and heartwarming, the animation was second to none, and the fighting sequences were some of the best I've seen from any Rurouni Kenshin overall. I am so glad this film lived up to my expectations, definitely a must watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review dave j Monday, September 16, 2013 (2001) Samurai X - The Motion Picture DUBBED JAPAN ANIMATION ACTION/ ADVENTURE Character derived from the "Rurôni Kenshin" syndicated TV series which the main character has a dull blade edge on the front and sharper end at the other side. Anyways, this theme contains something we've seen many times better which some of the original people of a country are totally against a colonial visit from the British. In this case it's the British entering into Japanese land, leading the rebels is a tough Japanese samurai with Kenshin and his friends preventing him as well as others from doing it. And the rebels plan on doing this not just by using their swords but by using weapons that they had intercepted away from the British which includes rifles and cannons. As a fan of Japan animation, this is not a very good one to watch since the movie attempts to balance the 'neutral' theme even though they're done better on other animations such as Bleach and Dragon Ball. As a matter of fact, I've pretty much used my fast forward button while playing since I knew what was going to happened and how it was going to end which is not the first it's going to do this nor is it the last. I just know that so far, this is one of the worst ones I've seen. 2 out of 4 Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member If you don't want to sit through 95 episodes of Rurouni no Kenshin, then this is the abridged version. But I gotta say I watched all 95 episodes of the anime in one go, that's how hooked I was. So I urge you watch the series if this interests you at all.
