Audience Member It is probably best that Christopher Doyle remain a cinematographer and not a filmmaker. However, this is a beautifully shot movie with enough quirkiness to keep your attention. And, it remains effortlessly "cool". I have always believed that cinematographers were always neglected as auteurs and watching this, it really displays what wonders can be done with the visual story-telling techniques that they have in abundance. The gaze remains on three main characters and what a treat that is. The story is actually easier to follow than the critics say it is. It's a fun film. And quite different from the rest.
